People’s Republic of China Tax Subcommittee

The China sub-committee looks to engage members in open dialogues on new or contentious China tax rules and practices.  Where sufficient interests are gathered, the sub-committee would initiate lobbies with the China tax authorities through formal submissions and discussions.  The recent lobby efforts include China QFII/RQFII capital gains tax issues, China VAT issues, China inter-bank bond market withholding tax issues.  The sub-committee also maintains close relationships with key China tax advisors for updates and developments in the tax regulations and practices impacting the Financial Services industry.

The TP sub-committee looks to engage members in open dialogues to share technical knowledge and practical application of Transfer Pricing rules and Guidelines.  The Committee seeks input from members (consist mainly of Heads of Tax and in House TP practitioners) to identify key topics of interest and conducts virtual roundtable discussions and formal quarterly meetings where all members join the call/meeting to share latest TP developments across the regions.
